The Entrepreneurs Association of the Maldives (EAM) is the national body dedicated to advancing entrepreneurship, strengthening the business ecosystem, and supporting the growth of a resilient, innovation-driven Maldivian economy. Established to serve as a unified voice for entrepreneurs across all sectors, EAM works to ensure that Maldivian founders, creators, and business leaders have the resources, representation, and opportunities they need to thrive.

EAM brings together entrepreneurs, industry experts, policymakers, and ecosystem partners to foster collaboration, promote best practices, and drive sustainable economic development. Through research, advocacy, capacity-building, and strategic partnerships, the association plays a central role in shaping policies that support business growth and expand access to markets.

We are committed to building a dynamic and future-ready entrepreneurial landscape that reflects the aspirations of the Maldivian people while contributing to long-term prosperity.

Our Story

The Entrepreneurs Association of the Maldives (EAM) was founded with a clear purpose: to create a unified national platform that empowers entrepreneurs, strengthens the business ecosystem, and contributes to the long‑term economic resilience of the Maldives. Our story begins with a recognition that entrepreneurship is not only a pathway to individual success — it is a driver of national development, innovation, and opportunity.

EAM emerged from the collective experiences of Maldivian entrepreneurs who understood the challenges of building businesses in a geographically dispersed island nation. Limited access to resources, fragmented support systems, and the absence of a central representative body highlighted the need for an institution dedicated to advocating for entrepreneurs and supporting their growth.

Guided by this vision, EAM was established to bring together founders, innovators, industry leaders, and ecosystem partners under one umbrella.

From the beginning, our mission has been to champion entrepreneurship as a national priority, promote inclusive participation, and build a future where Maldivian businesses can thrive locally, regionally, and globally. Today, EAM stands as a growing institution with a clear mandate: to empower entrepreneurs, foster innovation, and contribute to a more dynamic and opportunity‑rich Maldives.
